Strikers u13 First Tournament!

On Friday 14 July 2023, the electrified Strikers u13 team took part in their first ever Junior Tournament. The event was held at the awesome SafeHub Astro field in the White Location settlement of Knysna, Western Cape. 6 local Knysna teams participated in the tournament, all sponsored by Blue Ribbon.

The boys won their first game against Ekhayeni FC 2 - 0! Two fanstastic goals were scored by Right Wing -Sinekhaya.

Their second game ended in a narrow defeat to the well established team of Voota FC. 0 - 1 was the result.

Third versus fourth playoff was the final order of the Strikers u13 day. After a hard-fought battle the final score was 0 - 0. Penalties were up next!

It came down to the final kick. Captain Buhle stepped up to the spot. With a magnificent shot, placed top right, the defending teams keeper had no chance. STRIKERS WIN!!! 3 - 1 on penalties. What a day, what a celebration. The smiles and cheers echoed around the grounds.
